Cisco-Linksys E3000 High-Performance Wireless-N Router Reviews
This product is wonderful. It works perfect for my need. I use it to wirelessly stream Netflix to my TV, wirelessly stream videos and music from my network hard drive to TV, Wirelessly upload video from Linksys camera to my network hard drive and to internet for remote monitoring. Also I am using 4 computers, 3 iphones, and Vonage with it. I can use the data from network hard drive to any computer. I have added a Linksys print server. Now I can wirelessly print from any computer. It runs so hot and I placed it on a cheap laptop cooler http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001B077PO/ref=oss_product. It keeps it cool all day long. Does anyone else using a cooler to cool down this router? Before I placed it in a cooler, I was getting disconnected once in a while. I highly recommend this product to anyone wants to stream video to TV, Play station etc..br /br /Other Thoughts: My play station3 won't receive more than 12MB/sec. I think it's because it has a G receiver. Because of that my HD videos that I have recorded in MXP(24MB/Sec)won't play flawlessly. All other HD videos play without any problems. It's not a problem of the router; it's because of the receiver. Once I buy a new TV or Bluray player with built in 5 GHz Wireless-N receiver, this problem should go away.br /br /

Good range, awful storage functionality - Euler -
I'm a little disappointed with this router. It has a good range but I expected more from the storage functionality, it crashes when tranfering big files, it complains that my HD is incompatible but all of a sudden recognizes it and the media server works only when it wants to. To sum with, it ended like an expensive normal N router.
Not all that it is reported - -
I needed to upgrade my home router. I do technical work a lot so I am not an amateur user. This router out of the box did set up very easily but that was the extent of the ease of setup. When I tried to set it up with my Windows Vista computer I ran into problems and could not get the laptop to connect. I chatted with tech support who finally told me that I needed to contact HP and get a new driver for my wireless adapter. My wireless adapter driver was completely up to date. My laptop is not old (less than 2 yrs) but I did not have an extended warranty so I was not happy to think I would have to pay HP for tech support. I connected a 7+ year old laptop and 8+ year old desktop with no problems, a wireless printer, a PS3, and a Wii with no problems but not my newest device, the Vista laptop. Finally had to call the tech support to get help and we finally got the device connected but I'm not able to use the WPA interface - only WEP. I'm not very happy about this at all considering my devices met all their technical requirements. Not sure this router is going to be all it is cracked up to be - may want to investigate better options before buying this one.
